The bookplate of the member of the Moscow Court of Justice N.N. Birukov (1874-1921).
He was an owner of a unique book collection acquired by the Rumyantsev Museum, which included incunabula, paleotypes, Elseviers, Slavic early printed books, publications of the time of Peter the Great, Russian literature, books on history, archeology, and legal sciences.
The bookplate depicts a fruit tree, a lamp and books, on the spine of one of them is the Birukov noble coat of arms.
