Description
After Dimitri Chiparus (1886-1847), "Les Filles (The Girls)," 20th c., after the 1928 original, bronze and faux ivory, on a stepped figured onyx base, one face and hand loose but present, with an incised signature proper left top of the base, H.- 19 in., W.- 23 1/2 in, D.- 13 3/4 in.
Condition
Mostly structurally sound, slight movement in figures, evidence of repairs to faces and hands, two hand lacking fingers, with scattered soiling, onyx with minor chips, nicks, marks, soiling, abrasions, and imperfections consistent with age.
