Description
Tibet. Distemper and gold on cloth. Mounted as a hanging scroll on a silk brocade frame. The central palace complex with its four gates having Buddha at its center, surrounded by rings and columns of buddhas to form a dharmachakra, encompassed by bands of lotus lappets, buddhas, and scrolling foliage, surrounded by further buddhas within a hilly landscape and the upper register painted with a clear blue sky with various Buddha seated on lotus pedestal and encompassed by clouds. The reverse is inscribed 'Om Ah Hum'.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, light creasing, some soiling, and minor fading. The brocade frame in good condition with minor wear, few loose threads, and fading.
