Description
Unusual French Empire Walnut Washstand, mid 19th c., the wash stand with earthenware pitcher and bowl with floral transfer decoration, atop veneered band over three scrolled legs, above tripartite base, on casters, H.- 40 in., Dia.- 13 1/2 in. (3 Pcs.)
Condition
Structurally sound, pitcher with repair to lip and running hairline, bowl with two hairlines, white ground and lavender decoration, wooden base with scattered veneer losses and repairs concentrated around the top edge, overall chips, nicks, marks and abrasions all consistent with age and use.
