Latin America, Mexico, ca. early 20th century CE. A hand-carved, painted wooden nicho with a large open display area and a glass door and windows to view figures like santos and other religious artwork. The arched roof is covered with shingles that are then painted pastel hues- although worn- the roses can be made out. Included is a late 20th century false book storage box with an angel and Mary on the cover. Size: 11.6" L x 11" W x 20.25" H (29.5 cm x 27.9 cm x 51.4 cm)

Flaking to paint, fading and staining. Small scratches to glass, but intact. Weathering from exposure to elements, and some looses to roof shingles. False book is modern with a plastic interior.
