Description
Rare date and all matching inspector stamps. A really top notch example of the US model 1840 heavy cavalry saber... aka The Wristbreaker. This is complete with its original scabbard which bears the inspector initial P on the center ring mount. The blade markings are crisp and legible. Matching NWP inspector initials on the blade and pommel, also matched P on ring mount. There are three original wraps of twisted grip wire intact near the pommel. The balance of the twisted wire is restored. Very desirable with the 1846 date.
