A carved Olmec head from Pre Columbian America. The carving represents a mans face with a stern, hard expression. The face has harshly carved facial features, left eye with drilling hole in the corner. The same drill slits are in the nose, in the corners of the lips and on the sides of the face. Comes with a heavy stand. The Olmecs flourished during Mesoamericas formative period, dating roughly from as early as 1500 BCE to about 400 BCE.
