Description
Jeweler's Regulator floor clock by Lenzkirch, walnut case with figured walnut veneers and pine secondary wood, triangular pediment with center plinth and molded cornice above an incised frieze, over a case with carved rosettes and scrolled corner ornaments. White porcelain sunken dial with copper bezel (10.5" Dia.), black Roman hour markers with outer minute track, Breguet style hour hands and center swept second hand, impressed to rear dial "454871". Single train/weight driven regulator movement, signed "Lenzkirch / A. G. U. / 454871", anchor escapement with adjustable pallets. Behind a long conforming and glazed front door, the base with decorative incised key drawer, on a plinth with bun feet. 76 1/4"H x 22"W x 10 1/2"D. Circa 1880, Germany.

Condition
Works appear to be complete but not guaranteed to be functional. Lacking finial. Door is slightly warped; key and part of the escutcheon are missing, so latches have been added to keep door closed. Small shrinkage cracks to upper portion of door. Losses and damage to incised pediment. Case is otherwise in overall good condition with a few minor scattered small losses and abrasions. Excessive worming to case pediment and scattered light worming throughout case.
