Item Details

Description

This is a gorgeous wooden studio camera on an adjustable stand with casters. The camera was manufactured by J.A. Anderson and/or the Conley Camera Company (both are marked on the lens board). The brass lens is by Carl Bohmke & Company, and accepts waterhouse stops (no stops are included). The lens is pretty clean for its age, with only a bit of haze and separation. The camera comes with a tambour plate holder, contact printing frame (missing the glass), and two plate adapters (5x7 & 8x10) for the holder. The camera is in unrestored condition. The bellows show wear. The rear focus adjustment control has fallen out of its groove. The lens has a barn door shutter mechanism that is missing pieces. Overall this is a great display piece, and could be turned into a working camera with a bit of work. It measures (including the stand) 21" wide, 43" deep, and 52" tall.
