Superb Clown on Globe Cast Iron Bank by Stevens

Item Details

Description

Great violet Victorian style base version of the bank, with a blue and gold globe; red, yellow, and white clown sitting atop. Clean and very good condition original toy with light wear. First the kid would turn the clown and ratchet up a helical spring. Then the kid would deposit a coin and then press the side lever. The Stevens Clown top would then spin around in circles. The clown can spin sitting or in a hand stand. Coin trap present. Works. Impressive 9" high by 6.5" deep.
