Description
Fritz Keck (American/PA, 20th C) Monongahela Incline 1961 ? Depicts the Monongahela Incline near Station Square on Carson Street. Giclee is on canvas board, in a wood frame. Signed in the print on lower left and by hand on the lower right. Fritz Keck is a well-known native Pittsburgh Artist. He grew up in Edgewood and graduated from Carnegie Mellon University. Keck took old black and white archival photos donated from local entities and brought them to life through oil on canvas. Giclees were made of the original oils. These paintings reflect the region?s history in steel making, mining, ethnic neighborhoods, trolleys, rivers, and other iconic subjects. His most well-known collection is ?Once Upon a Time?. / Visible Art Size: 11"H x 14"W / Frame Size: 15"H x 18"W
