A commercially produced violin labeled: cav. Rossi/da CITTADELLA (Padova)/Fece in Roma. Anno 1921/(signature of maker), and not the work of Rossi. The two piece quarter sawn maple back of medium curl descending from the center joint. The maple ribs of medium curl. The maple head is of medium curl. The two-piece spruce table is of fine grain. The varnish is an antiqued red-orange color over a pale gold ground. Note: Not by Giuseppe Rossi.
