U.S. Model 1816 North Navy Flintlock Pistol. .54 caliber, 9" barrel is stamped U.S. with a P. Pennsylvania State Militia as the barrel is marked ?COND G. HAY IR 1ST B 4TH ID? which translated means Conditioned by George Hay Inspector 1st Brigade 4th Division. Hay was born in 1809 and passed in 1879, spending his entire life in PA. He was a cabinet maker and undertaker by trade, but he was also a Captain in the local York Rifle Company of York, PA., he was also an inspector. Lock is stamped "S. North U.S. Midln Con" with eagle. Oval stamped inspector's cartouche. 15-1/2"l. overall.

Good with pitting to metal, wear to wood, missing ramrod.
