Circa 1780. The Chinese Export porcelain bombe-form soup tureen, cover, and stand are painted with blue enamel and gold baskets to the front and back of the tureen and the cover. Around the shoulder of the tureen is a thin band of gilt chain on an orange ground and painted on each side with two different groupings of flowers or fruit. The same decoration is repeated on the stand with a large central blue enamel basket. There is no repair and there is some crazing on the stand. There is gilt rubbing on the crown of the flowerhead finial (see photo). Dimensions: 10 inches high x 12 inches wide x 9 inches deep.
