Description
An antique Japanese Meiji Era tripod enamel tea pot. Circa: early 20th century. The exterior of the ware is enameled with polychrome medallions with images of butterflies, and a Phoenix bird surrounded by floral, foliage, swirl, and geometrical patterns made in the Cloisonne technique. The cover is decorated with swirl, geometrical, and scrollwork ornaments made in the same technique. The ground is inlaid with a Gold stone. Unmarked.
