A German engraved armorial flask or essence bottle, mid-18th centuryPossibly from a Dresden glasshouse, of globular form with a long slender neck, engraved with a rococo cartouche bearing the crowned cipher 'FA', perhaps for Frederick Augustus, Elector of Saxony, flanked by foliate sprays, 13.9cm high
Condition
This flask is in good condition with no damage. Tiny bubbles within the glass are entirely natural and from manufacture. There is typical light wear underneath the footrim as expected where it has been standing.
