Description
This group has a spectacular lanceolate at 5 in./ 127 mm from Chautauqua County, Kansas. This specific piece is bevel edged on the left side only, on both sides and thought to be a Lerma Round Base spear point. This type of point has been previously found in Texas, Tenn., Kentucky; but only left edge bevels have been (previously) found in Alabama and Tennessee. Our lot also includes very specific serrated edge bird points. All are partials and less than an inch in length, but quite unique from Benton County, Arkansas. From the Bracken collection. Please see photos for details. (ref. Indian Arrowheads, Overstreet and Peake, 1991, p. 457).
