A mixed media on paper painting depicting a portrait of Alexander Pushkin by Anatoly Timofeivich Zverev, Russian Soviet, 1931 to 1986. Signed with initials and dated 1983. Anatoly Zverev, a Nonconformist artist, representative of the second wave of the Russian avant garde, painter of the Soviet underground. He was and remains a legend in the artistic life of Moscow in the second half of the 20th century. Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin was a Russian poet, playwright, and novelist of the Romantic era.
