Late Period, 30th Dynasty, Ca. 332 BC.A pair of light blue faience ushabti figures, each adorned with a column of hieroglyphs, tripartite wigs and attached false beards. Their arms dutifully crossed upon their chests are holding agricultural tools. The ushabtis symbolize their readiness to serve and assist the departed on their profound journey through the afterlife. Size: 70-70mm x 15-15mm; Weight: 15g Provenance: From a private London collection; Ex. B. Kickx and J. Peeters collections, pre 1978, Belgium.
