A Sèvres cup and saucer (gobelet litron et soucoupe), dated 1775
Of the first size, painted by Jean-Louis Thevenet with a band of fruit and leaf motifs between gilt scrolls, between borders of blue and pink ovals and gilt striped ground, the cup applied with a moulded handle of scrolls and husks heightened in gilding, gilt dentil borders to the rims, the cup: 7.6cm high; the saucer: 14.8cm diam., interlaced LL monograms enclosing date letter x and painter's mark for Thevent in blue, incised marks (minuscule restored chips to cup footrim) (2)
