Description
American. Circa 1960. Fiberglass. Steel fabrication. Originally raced in Livonia Michigan, this 1/4 midget race car looks just as it did in the 1960s. This car was raced by a driver named George who belonged to the Livonia 1/4 Midget Racing Club. The car was sponsored by Industrial Economy Tool. Embossed, "AA78532", engine serial number on the block. Stamped, "AUS54" and serial "#445519", engine tag. Marked, "George", on cowl as customized. Painted, "Industrial Economy Tool Special", on side. Marked, "#55", written on the grille. 36" x 78" x 38". The Howie Meyer Legacy Collection.
Condition
This car is completely original and even retains the original competitor's helmet and black vinyl interior and cushion. The paint is original and in good condition except for scuffs across the hood, and paint losses to areas on the engine cover and near the front bumper. The car retains the original Continental Motors engine.
