Moisei Ilyich Podgayets (Подгаец Моисей Ильич) was born in the Soviet Union on November 15, 1909, and joined the Red Army in 1935, holding the ranks of lieutenant, major, and colonel during his service. He achieved notable military successes and received numerous commendations. In the provided images, we can see documents and ceritications left by Colonel Moisei, photos from his military service, and several medals he earned. Colonel Moisei visited China multiple times, deeply influenced by Chinese culture, and became fascinated with collecting Chinese art. The descendants of Colonel Moisei later immigrated to the United States, carefully preserving these exquisite artworks, ultimately presenting this remarkable collection of Chinese art for us to appreciate.
