Description
Full length evening portrait of seated Shah Jahan. Opaque gouache and gold on paper. Not inspected out of the frame; appears to be tipped to backing paper due to visible undulations at left edge. This probably had a matched opposing portrait of Mumtaz Mahal at one time. Sight size apprx 7" x 4", framed under glass overall apprx 12" x 9". From the collection of Juliane and Philip Lynch, Shaker Heights, Ohio.
Condition: not inspected out of framing, color strong, not visible restorations or damage. In silk mat and Bonfoey frame.
