Description

An antique earthenware vase by Van Briggle Pottery, an American art pottery studio established in Colorado in 1901. Art Deco era, 1920s. Despondency model, ca. 1902 to 1905, unusual miniature size. Elongated piece with sculpted nude male figure surrounding the top rim of the vase which recalls the artworks of August Rodin. Red matte glaze. Incised Van Briggle Colo Spgs mark on the bottom. Studio Pottery And Rare Ceramics, Decor, Antique Collectibles.

Dimensions: H 10 1/2 in. All measurements are approximate.

Condition
