YUSABURO KAWANISHI (1923-2014) was born in Kobe City. His father was the famous printmaker Hide Kawanishi. He started making woodblock prints at the age of 8 with his father as teacher. He later became active as a member of the Japan Print Association and Kokugakai. Since 1966, he had been teaching as a part-time lecturer at Nara University of Education. Received the Kobe City Cultural Award in 1960. While inheriting his father's woodblock printing techniques, Skillfully incorporating ink version, etc. Create his own unique expression, In contrast to his father, he aimed for a quiet world.
