J. & P. MOOD, CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA COIN SILVER DESSERT / SOUP SPOON PAIR, each having a pointed oval bowl on a backwards-tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders and engraved "MMS" initials. Each impressed to back with a slightly worn mark of "J & P MOOD" in a serrated rectangular cartouche for the partnership of brothers John Mood and Peter Mood, Jr. of Charleston, South Carolina (active 1834-1841). Total weight: 2.475 ozt. Second quarter 19th century. 7" LOA.

Condition
Very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and nicks, slightly worn bowl tips; one spoon with a minor dent and slight bending to one side of bowl; other spoon with slight bending at shoulders of handle.
