having a round bowl on a curved forward-tipped fiddle handle with pointed shoulders, engraved "R.S.S. / to / M.[J?].S." to front and back with later engraving of "E.S. Gregory / to / M.G. Hays" next to "J.G. Hays". Back of handle impressed with maker's mark for F.H. Clark & Co. of Memphis, TN (active 1848-1876) next to "MEMPHIS". Total weight: 5.760 ozt. Mid 19th century. 12 5/8" LOA.
