American, third-quarter 19th Century. Oil on canvas, signed with monogram lower right. Beautifully painted in a very nice period frame. Frame measures 48" x 62.5"; sight 35.5" x 49.5". Ex Don Jansen, Columbus, Ohio.Condition: Professionally cleaned and restored, see photos. Relined; small repair with patch to back (patch approx. 3.5"w 2.25"h, infill spots on front two small circles, smaller than a dime - upper right sky). Small area of paint loss and infill to center right sky (size of a quarter). Reframed in a period frame with spacer. Appears to be original stretcher.
