Volk, with backstamp B.P.M. and blue beehive symbol overglaze; and another example with a center depicting a beautiful young maiden in a lush green forest, in three-quarter profile, artist-signed F. Vogt, continuing to an Art Nouveau floral decorated cobalt blue colored border, irregular rim, blue beehive mark underglaze. Diameter of larger (Ruth) 10 inches.

each plate appears to be in generally good, undamaged condition, i.e., no apparnet rim chips, hairline cracks, etc.; the plate depicting Ruth does have some minor loss to the small enameled 'jeweled' dots (approximately three lost dots were observed); this plate also has a very faint short scratch mark at the center of the plate, located in the sky area at the left, not of any consequence; the plate depicting the maiden has general wear/rubbing to gilding, notably along the rim edge, commensurate with age and handling; plates were not blacklighted diameter of smaller plate: 9 5/8 inches
