(RICHARD ‘DICK’ WINTERS) (1918-2011) Army officer and decorated war veteran, commander of Co. ‘E’, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division, made famous in ‘Band of Brothers’. The oversize LIFE Magazine hardbound volume ‘One Nation: America Remembers Sept. 11, 2001’ (New York: Little, Brown & Co., 2001), First Edition, 192pp. folio, with dustjacket, extensively illustrated in color. Dedicated on the half title page to Winters by an unidentified writer who pens a quote from George S. Patton at the top of the page, with Winters’ ownership label affixed to interior cover. Ex: Dick Winters’ personal library, obtained by The Gettysburg Museum of History. Near fine.
