Kerouac-Owned Issue of "Evergreen Review" and L. Ferlinghetti Poem
A pair of items from Jack Kerouac's estate, including an issue of the "Evergreen Review" and a published poem booklet by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Both have a Jack Kerouac Estate stamp and the raised blind seal from the Executor of the Estate, John Sampas, who was the brother-in-law of Jack Kerouac and the brother of Stella Kerouac, Jack's wife. Both with light wear, a few small tears, and faint soiling. Overall very good.
The magazine, "Evergreen Review", is Volume 12, No. 51. New York: Evergreen Review Inc., February 1968. Edited by Barney Rosset. With articles on Che Guevara and Fidel Castro's eulogy, along with Kerouac's "The Murder of Swinburne." The poem, entitled "One Thousand Fearful Words for Fidel Castro" was published by in San Francisco: City Lights, 1961.
