JFK Sits Down with Walter Cronkite at Hyannis, Cecil W. Stoughton PSA Type 1
A type 1 photograph depicting President John F. Kennedy during an interview with CBS news anchor Walter Cronkite (not pictured), captured by Cecil Stoughton, the Kennedy's personal photographer. Measuring 5" x 7", dated September 2, 1963, Hyannis Port, MA. Encapsulated by PSA to the overall size of 9.75" x 13.25" and receiving a designation of Type 1. Docketed in pencil on verso with Stoughton's identification number "C276-8-63". Lightly toned, with small crease at bottom right corner. Else, near fine.
The interview in question would mark the first half-hour nightly news broadcast to be conducted by the station, in which the President discussed Civil Rights, atomic testing bans, and the 1964 election. This photograph, along with several others, can be viewed on the John F.
