Charcot informs his correspondent that the case of Madame Nelidour is not at all serious, remarking ‘c'est de la neuropathie pure, sous une forme plutot favorable. Je crois qu'elle suis avec quelque courage et entrain le traitement hydratherapique que je lui ai prescrit et j'espere qu'elle s'en trouvera bien’ (Translation: ‘It is pure neuropathy, in a rather favourable form.
