Description
A Rosewood Calendar No. 1 Wall Clock, Seth Thomas Clock Company, Plymouth Hollow, Connecticut, Fourth Quarter 19th Century. Eight-day weight driven double dial calendar clock. The upper white-painted dial with Roman numerals, the lower white-painted dial with Arabic date numerals and inscribed 'Patented Feb. 15, 1876', month and day apertures.
Dimensions: Height 40 1/2in; width 19 1/2in; depth 6 3/4in.
Provenance: Property from a Maryland Collection.
Condition
The case with typical marks, wear, scuffs, surface scratches and small losses of veneer. Wear, loss, flaking and yellowing/discoloration to both painted dials overall. The backboards of the case are loose and somewhat detached. We cannot guarantee the completeness or functionality of the clock's movement.
