Description
Chinese, 18th century or earlier, early Qing dynasty, a wood Buddha figure seated in vajraparyankasana on a lotus pedestal, the serene face is framed by long pendulous ears and hairarranged in tight whorls. Accompanied by a glit lacquered wood shrine carved in openwork with dragons and a mythical beast on a rocky base.

Condition
Overall in good condition with the general wear and cracks due to the long period of being. There are some mild peelings for the lacquered skin of the Buddha as well as its stand and background. The granular hair of the Buddha has partially fallen. Please see additional photos for clarification.
