An estate lot of two vintage colored lithographs on paper after Marc Chagall (Russian French, 1887-1985). From the artist's "Illustrations for the Bible" suite, printed 1960 during the artist's lifetime by Mourlot (Paris). Includes: one (1) titled, "Sarah and the Angels," depicting figure of Sarah receiving the good news of her imminent child birth with lifted hands, head bowed, and eyes closed happily; and one (1) titled, "Eve Incurs God's Displeasure," depicting Eve, naked, and exposed as a consequence of her guilt, offset by the friendly, paternal character of God's messenger in upper right corner. Both presented in ornate gilded carved quality frames. Accompanied by a hardcover reference book, "Chagall Lithographs VI," collecting the artist's art print works produced from 1980 until his death on March 28, 1985, 224 pp with numerous plates, published 1986 by Crown Publishers (New York). Book measures approximately 13" x 9.75" x 1.15". Frames measure approximately 27" x 31" x 1.75". Sight size measures approximately 10.25" x 13.75".
