Description

Dated 1867. Fair, in need of cleaning and varnish. Otherwise fine as shown. This military artist's father was a US congressman, and was friends with Sam Houston of Texas. Charles F. won the Silver Star for gallantry in action while serving with the 1st Gas Regiment, American Expeditionary Forces, in action near Montfaucon, France, 26 September to 1 November 1918. Canvas size approx. 7" x 9"
