Fine 15th - 16th C. illuminated leaf from Book of Hours in Latin with very fine hand colored illustrations including one of Saint Barbara. The text relates to suffrages of Saint Margaret and Saint Barbara.

Measures 7 1/8 by 4 5/8 inches

Note: We believe Lots 642, 643, 644, 645 and 646 are all from the same Book of Hours.

Translated as follows:

Of Saint Margaret.

Ant: Glorious virgin of Christ, Margaret, most
precious jewel of virgins, by the shining virtue
of those above, hear our prayers poured out
before thee; cause us to be joined to the eternal
choir; therefore by thy prayers give aid against
our calamities by which we are beset on all
sides.

V: Pray for us, blessed Margaret.

R: That we be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

O God, who caused the blessed Margaret thy
virgin to reach heaven through the palm of a
martyr, grant to us, we beseech, that following
