Description
Made by John Harper Ltd. Company. Great Britain - Circa 1931. A large English copper penny is necessary for the proper operation of this bank. American pennies, nickels or dimes do not work because they simply fall from the hand and do not enter the coin slot. Furthermore, it is interesting to note that the coin enters through a slot in the Scotsman's tartan sash, not through his mouth, as in the case in all other mechanical banks that represent a bust type bank with an extended hand. This is a superior and bright example.
