Description
Pair of rare mid 19th century ship’s port and starboard lanterns with brass maker’s badges from Boston maker. “Tufts Brothers, Boston, Mass, A Tufts Patent March 13, 1860, which places these relics in the clipper ship era with interesting lenses that have a fresnel style on the front and rigged inside. Also fitted with ‘Port” and “Starboard” brass badges. They have tarnished copper tops with tin vents and substantial iron hoisting handles. In old red and green paint. Hinged rear doors. 22” overall height, x 12” wide.
