Fascinating original of a Man & Crow in the manner of Bill Traylor. This is an amazing and rare find! We base this attribution on the same style, subject, medium, and signature as used by Traylor.
Medium: Tempera on cardboard. Edition: Unique, original work of art. Condition: Excellent. Image size: 13.5 x 9.5 in. New Frame: 26 x22 in. Signature: Not signed as most of his pieces are not signed.
Provenance: This fine piece is from a private estate of a collector in South Carolina.
William Traylor was an African-American self-taught artist from Lowndes County, Alabama. Born into slavery, Traylor spent the majority of his life after emancipation as a sharecropper.
