Large 19th century Chinese robe fragment made from a summer robe for the court. Lovely embroidery depicting a dragon in the clouds with excellent detail. Taken from a robe and made into a rectangular table runner, likely in the late 19th century.

Condition
No major stains. The colors are somewhat dulled. There are loose threads throughout. Heavy losses to the embroidery, especially along one side of the work. The silk along the border has shattered in numerous places.
