Description
Chinese Qing Guangxu silk embroidered robe cuffs, late 19th to early 20th century. Finely embroidered with gold thread embellishments depicting geometric, floral, and foliate motifs with peacocks and cranes. Bordered with additional robe remnants in blue.

Condition
There are no major tears, losses, or restorations. Some small stains throughout, most evident along the white areas of the work. A few small loose threads. There is water exposure along the verso and along the matboard of the recto. It is not readily visible or apparent if this affects the textile itself. Wear to the frame; framed under glass; not inspected out of frame.
