GRUMMAN G-310 CONTRACTOR'S CONCEPT MODEL. Painted wood model on colored Lucite base, 1960s, wingspan 11 3/8 inches (extended), fuselage 13 1/4 inches, 6 inches tall, on arrowhead-shaped base. The G-310 was Grumman's entry into the Department of Defense's TFX (Tactical Fighter Experimental) contest, which would eventually become the F-111B. The present model, from Grumman's in-house model shop, includes extendable wings and swivels on its mount.
