Ahuayo, Dept. Potosi, C. 1850 Aymara. Woman's heirloom mantle used during annual festivals and most likely employed in the weddings of descendants. Pointed latch hook design and bicolor "Chimi" field color. Great bilateral balance to the composition. Size: 40'' x 42'' (102 x 107 cm).
