Vintage George Washington figural bust metal coin bank, by Banthrico Inc., Chicago, 1930s-1950s.

The bust is c.5" [12.7cm] high, the base is 3.1/2" x 2.1/4" [8.8cm x 6.3cm]; some scratches and wear of finish. Bank has no key. Very good condition.

Banthrico Company, Chicago, was founded in 1931 and was specialized on modeling and producing various piggy banks. The collector's catalog lists 100s of different shapes.
