Description
Architectural replica of the General Motors Building in Detroit, Michigan, designed in 1920 by America's foremost industrial architect, Albert Kahn. This metal souvenir building is cast in lead with excellent detail, and dates from the 1930s when the five-story rear Annex served as the central office for Chevrolet. It stands 3.5" tall by 6" wide by 4" deep, and weighs almost 3 lbs. The front base is embossed "GENERAL MOTORS BUILDING DETROIT", and the back is "CHEVROLET". The underside is open, and the building is in very good vintage condition with no cracks or breaks. One of the most outstanding souvenir metal buildings because of its large size and intricate detail in the Neo-classical architecture.
