Description
A Senufo Heddle Pulley Mali/Ivory Coast, First half of the 20th century Abstract human/bushcow face tapering to mouth and chin, crisscross network incised on forehead. The wood stained black with stripes of red pigment on horns. Pierced at earlobes, large loop at back for suspension from a loom. In good condition, tip of one horn chipped, high points rubbed from use.
