Chinese Turquoise Green Porcelain Gourd Bottle. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slightly concave. Warm and uniform turquoise green glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Green is the most important variety of China’s porcelain. Green stands for health, prosperity, and harmony. In Chinese culture, green stands for cleanliness and purity from contamination. The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within blue rings lines. Made in The Years of Yongzheng Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
