Chinese Tianlan Sky Blue Glaze Porcelain Bottle Vase. Potted in oval shape vase, heavy on mid body, round mouth rim with tall cylindrical neck, raised on ring foot base slight concave. Warm and uniform tinlan blue glaze applied to the whole surface. The claire-de-lune glaze is today usually referred to as pale blue. A high-fired soft, pale or lavender blue glaze with a low cobalt content and the softest hue of claire-de-lune was reserved exclusively for Imperial porcelains. The Chinese call this hue of blue, tian lan you, sky after the rain. The name is the French expression for moon-white.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years of Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
